Heart Center Staff
 

The Comprehensive Cardiac Recovery Unit (CCRU) is where patients go after testing in the Cardiac Catherization lab. Patients undergoing the following procedures will be cared for in the CCRU:

  • Irregular heart rhythms
  • Cardioversions
  • Chest pain ruling out Myocardial Infarctions (MI, heart attacks)
  • Intravascular Radiation Therapy (Brachytherapy, IVRT)
  • Cardiac catheterizations
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Stents
  • Permanent and temporary pacemakers
  • Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillators (AICD)
  • Peripheral angioplasty and stents
  • Electrophysiology Studies (EPS) and ablations
  • Patients waiting to have open heart surgery

The CCRU is staffed by experienced Registered Nurses and Unit Coordinators who are happy to answer your questions.

Visiting hours are from [BEGIN TIME] until [END TIME]. Visitors are limited to [NUMBER] people at a time. Please, no infants or children younger than age [NUMBER]. A waiting room outside the department is available for additional family members and visitors.
