Patient Inquires

The nurse will accept inquires from your designated caller 24 hours a day. All other callers will receive a condition only and be referred to the designated caller for further information. This is done to protect your privacy and reduce interruptions to the nurses caring for you.

Parking

Parking is available in the [LOCATION].

Visitors Lounge

The visitors lounge is on the [LOCATION]. The lounge is open 24 hours a day. Volunteers are periodically available to answer questions.

The lounge serves all the adult critical care units. There are recliners for family members staying for extended periods of time. We ask that your family go to the lounge after their visit if they wish to remain longer or wait for the doctor.

Visiting Policy

We ask that you adhere to the following:

  • Only [NUMBER] visitors at a time
  • Limit of [MINUTES] minutes per visits
  • We ask no children under the age of [AGE]
  • The unit is closed to visiting from [BEGIN TIME] to [END TIME] while nurses compile reports on their patients. Please ask questions regarding your family
    members after this time. This also ensures patient confidentiality.

Exceptions may occasionally be made. These need to be cleared with the nurse caring for the patient.

Gift Shop

The gift shop is located on the first floor near the main entrance. The hours are [BEGIN TIME] to [END TIME].

Cafeteria

The hospital cafeteria is located in the [LOCATION]. It serves a variety of foods, including hot meals, salads, sandwiches and soups. The cafeteria is closed from [BEGIN TIME] to [END TIME].

Smoking

Smoking is allowed outside of the hospital. There are benches and sheltered areas on the [LOCATION] side of the building.

Pastoral Care

We welcome visits from your own pastor, minister or priest. We also have a chaplain available within the hospital to assist in meeting the patient's and families' spiritual needs. Please notify the nurse if you wish to speak with the hospital chaplain. The hospital also has a chapel on the second floor in the South Wing. It is open 24 hours a day
